don't become holidazed

The Holidays, they are fast approaching.

A great time for most. Filled with family, friends and fun for a lot of people. For those same people, this time of year, can also mean stress, anxiety, overspending and overeating.

For some other people, the holidays are filled with the same stresses because they have no family or friends to share it with.

Those four things, stress, anxiety, overspending and overeating can have lingering affects for the rest of the year, and in some cases, last until the following holiday season.

No matter which side of the fence you are on, it is imperative to take some time for yourself during the holiday season and every season. You need to make some time for YOU! Just a few minutes can make a world of difference for your mental health and wellbeing.

Sometimes, we get so wrapped up in the handling all of the things that we think we need to get done, we forget about ourselves! If this becomes a habit, it will start to affect you in various ways.

Jesus is the reason for the season, everything else is secondary! He is also the reason that you exist the rest of the year, no matter which walk of life you come from.

This blog is aimed at arguably the most stressful time of year, but the remedy can be practiced year round. What is that remedy? Taking time for yourself. Each day, set aside some time for a self check in or a check in with the creator.

Taking time for self is not a luxury, it is a right and a necessity to help maintain your mental health and wellbeing. If practiced regularly, you will reap the benefits slowly but surely.

KellyG and myself truly hope that you are able to avoid a

HoliDAZED state of mind and that 2023 will be your best year yet.
